The hunting lodge, now also Locanda Del Daino, was renovated over 30 years ago by the Garrone family, who, after having assigned it to the members of Cascina Emanuele and the manager of the Locanda, maintains ownership. It is one of the most historic houses in Grondona, formerly also used as a post office and refreshment point for travellers along the “salt road”, which from Liguria also passed through Grondona to continue towards the plain and arrive at the Austrian destination of Salzburg (salt village).
